Union Church and 42 at the Ritz-Carlton-Rachel & Gianluca Wedding

Wow! What great venues for a wedding. Rachel and Gianluca chose to have their ceremony at the Union Church in Pocantico Hills and their reception at 42 The Restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton in White Plains, New York. The Union Church provided a more traditional atmosphere while 42, on the 42 floor of the Ritz-Carlton, provided a more modern feel with spectacular views.

The church was originally founded by John D. Rockefeller Jr. in 1921 for the family to attend services while at their nearby country estate Kykuit. Later, gorgeous Matisse and Chagall stain glass windows were installed in the church in honor Rockefeller and his wife Abby Aldrich Rockefeller. The sunlight beaming through the windows baths the church in beautiful shades of blue and amber.

The party really got going at #42 in the Ritz-Carlton , White Plains where they had use of the restaurant’s entire floor with its spectacular views. Cocktails took place in the bar with the reception in 42 and dancing in the area normally occupied by tapas restaurant Bellota. What a beautiful space for any event! A shout out to Christine and Andrea of 42 who were so helpful and professional.
