St. Marks and Reid Castle Wedding-Chessie and Michael

Share

St. Mark’s church in Mount Kisco, New York played host to the wedding of Chessie and Michael. The history of the parish dates back to 1761 with the current church structure having been consecrated in 1917. The couple wished to have the sanctuary lavishly decorated with flowers in pink, blue and white. The decorations included arrangements for the three altars, a garland for the choir stall and bouquets of peonies for the pew.

The reception took place at Reid Castle at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York. Reid Castle, once called Ophir Hall, is a six story, eighty-four room granite castle located near the corner of Purchase Street and Anderson Hill Road. The interior of this majestic property is crafted from marble and hand-carved wood. Chessie and Michael chose to continue their theme colors of pink, blue and white to the reception through the use of peonies, delphinium and hydrangea in tall pedestal vases.

Chessie’s bouquet was designed using her favorite flower, white peonies combined with Vendela roses, buttercream stock and white sweet peas.

Chessie’s bouquet was completely wrapped with silver satin ribbon and large simple two loop bow.

The maid of honor, Chessie’s sister, carried a bouquet with more color than the bridesmaids. The bouquet incorporated light and dark pink peonies and Vendela roses.
