Jessica and Sweeny’s Wedding at CV Rich Mansion, White Plains, New York

CV Rich Mansion (Women’s Club of White Plains) in White Plains, New York played host to both Jessica and Sweeny’s ceremony and reception. This bride and groom really know how to throw a party!!!

The ceremony was held on the expansive lawn off of the back terrace where their nearly 200 guests were easily accommodated. The ceremony itself was a combination of western and eastern rites including the witness of the fire-deity (or the Sacred Fire) Agni and the seven encirclements around it by the bride and the groom together. The vows were exchanged under a wedding arch covered in tulle and decorated on the top with brightly colored pink and yellow flowers.

Cocktails were held on the back terrace and in several of the inside rooms of the mansion. The reception, held in the ballroom, was elegant and colorful. The bride and groom carried the ceremony flower colors of bright yellows and fuchsias through to the tall centerpieces of orchids set atop pedestal vases.

Jessica and Sweeny chose a buffet style reception with many stations with different food choices. Caperberry Events provided an amazing variety of delicious food  from which the guests were able to select their favorites.

The gorgeous four layer stacked cake was supplied by Lulu’s Cake Boutique in Scarsdale and decorated by Lulu’s and Cheshire Tree Floral Designs.

Sweeny’s passion for all things Springsteen led him to the band Tramps Like Us. The Springsteen cover band is so good that you would think it is Bruce and the E Street Band on stage! And did I say they were loud? YES! The end of the reception included a jam session of many of Bruce’s top hits. Tremendous!

The bride’s bouquet was created using blush and yellow cymbidium orchids and fuchsia dedrobium orchids.
